Food label complaints

As of March 18, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has found six companies to be non-compliant with country-of-origin labeling rules, following a more than eight-fold spike in complaints since January. The agency received a total of 60 complaints between November 1, 2024, and March 20, 2025. Of the 19 investigated, 13 were found compliant.
