Frequent fliers

Bird species that migrate north and south across North America each year tend to use four major flyways that are shaped by the continent's geographic features. Two of the flyways overlap at western Lake Erie, which experiences a large influx of migrating birds every spring. Many will stop at Pelee Island, the largest in a chain of islands that birds tend to follow when crossing the lake.
