Not so revolutionary

We often assume that technological breakthroughs, such as the personal computer revolution of the 1980s or the internet boom of the 1990s, must have had big, lasting effects on labor productivity. It's hard to see that in the data, though. Will AI's effects also prove to be modest? (U.S. labour productivity: Output per hour for all workers, 2017=100)
