* A Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) is an urban centre with at least 100,000 residents, and a Census Agglomeration (CA) is an urban centre with at least 10,000 residents. Both include surrounding municipalities that are socially and economically integrated with the urban core. Non‑CMACA areas refer to all regions outside CMAs and CAs, typically smaller towns and rural communities that do not meet the population or integration thresholds.
